Actors Who Started Later in Life - Is it ever too late to start acting?

Is it ever too late to become an actor?  There are many famous actors who did not become successful actors until later in life.  So no matter what age you are, you can start out as an actor.   This doesn't mean you'll become rich and famous, but it does mean that it's never too develop of a love for the art of acting.

Harrison Ford started at age 33 in Star Wars and later took the lead in the Indiana Jones series.

Sylvester Stallone's first success was at age 30 with Rocky and later Rambo.

Gene Hackman is a legendary actor who didn't start until age 37 and went on to win an Oscar for the French Connection.

John Mahoney was age 53 when he got his big break and landed a role in the hit TV show Frasier and continues to work as a guest star on shows like Burn Notice and Hot in Cleveland.

Samuel Jackson didn't start until age 45 in the movie Pulp Fiction and has been in many movies since.

Legendary actress Lucille Ball didn't get her break until age 40 with the classic TV show I Love Lucy.

F. Murray Abraham was age 45 when he got a big break and won Academy Award for Amadeus in that role.

Estelle Getty was age 62 when she starred on Golden Girls.

Kathy Bates was age 42 when she starred in Misery and won an Academy Award.

Jeremy Renner was age 37 when he got a role in the Hurt Locker and later was in the Avengers.

Ken Jeong was age 40 when he starred in the Hangover.

Regis Philbin was age 57 when he starred in the show Live with Regis and Kathy Lee and went on to host Who Wants to be a Millionaire.

Ang Lee was age 38 and stay at home dad when he started as a director. 

Alan Rickman was age 42 when he got a role in Die Hard and went on to have a major role in Harry Potter.

Many other successful actors like Morgan Freeman, Tim Allen and Kristin Wigg also started later on so it's never too late for you.
