PART 8 SCENE - SAFE
ANGEL
ANGEL
Distracted, I did not realize that Snow White and Rose Red had taken a dangerous stroll through the dark of the night and rushed to find them sleeping dangerously close the edge of a cliff. Rose rolled around in her sleep nearly knocking them down into the abyss.
(ANGEL moves girls to stage. NOTE - it is possible to add some theatre magic here by making them look like they float in while sleeping or girls can sleepwalk with Angel’s help)
ANGEL (CONT.)
Thank goodness you are both safe.
(SNOW and ROSE wake)
SNOW
Hello.
ROSE
Who are you?
(The ANGEL exits and MOTHER enters from the cottage)
SNOW
Did you see?
ROSE
Yes. So lovely.
RABBIT
That was the guardian of the forest.
DEER
An angel sent to protect us.
RABBIT
You were saved from falling off a cliff.
DEER
You slept dangerously close to the edge.
RABBIT
Rose tossed and turned and nearly knocked you over the edge.
DEER
But the angel saved you.
MOTHER
The angel watches over good girls and keeps them safe.
SNOW
I am most thankful that we are watched over and kept safe. We are very blessed.
