Here is a little more information about the showcase which sounds like an amazing opportunity for new actors:
The New Mexico Film Foundation is partnering with Filmstock Film Festival, in Albuquerque on Sept 5-6 to create an actor showcase. Selected actors will have a chance to do auditions with directors, on stage in front of a live audience. Those actors who are selected to participate in this showcase will be featured on the Filmstock Film Festival website, with the chance of the winning actors being featured at Filmstock in Colorado, Utah and Arizona. The showcase will take place on Saturday September 6th from 3:30 to 5:00 pm. To enter you must submit a video audition, head shot and resume. The top 20 submissions will be invited to participate in the Filmstock Actors Showcase. The judges for the showcase have been announced here.
There will be two awards: Best Actor and Best Actress. Each awardee will receive:
Filmstock Facetime slide in the next 3 states
Cut of red carpet interview used to promote the next three Filmstocks
Footage of on stage performance
A Headshot Session with NM photographer Dave Lynch
Demo reel editing session
Full VIP passes for the next three Filmstocks
