(Lights come up on a younger ASHTON with a weird device. He locates the PokyMonster from the previous scene. He talks to it)
ASHTON
Hello there little guy… look at you. All mutated and evolved. What an amazing monster you’ve become. You grew beyond your program and became something new. You turned into something more than I imagined. Something powerful. But you’ve been pretty naughty. Well, I have a special job for you. You’re going to be part of an experiment. A beautiful experiment that will let you live on and have a neverending feast that will fulfill that hunger you have inside you. You’ll get very full and I’ll get very rich.
(JONES and BAKER enter and see ASHTON)
JONES
There he is...
BAKER
Let’s go.
(BAKER and JONES approach ASHTON but JULES appears and blocks their way)
JULES
Can I help you?
BAKER
We need to talk to Mr. Ashton.
JULES
He’s not to be disturbed.
JONES
What’s he doing?
JULES
That’s none of your business.
BAKER
Look. This is important. That man is about to do something that will change the future...
JULES
This is a moment that will go down in history.

JONES
And you’re here to be a part of it.

JULES
Loyal and true to his vision.
JONES
A vision that will change the future.
JULES
Indeed… I knew it early on when I started working for his family. His sister was the famous one… the successful one, but Mr. Ashton was the true innovator… the true visionary of the family. And when the right investor came along, he was able to turn his ideas into reality.
JONES
We are great admirers of Mr. Ashton. It would be an honor to meet him.
JULES
I’m sorry… I can’t… it’s dangerous. It’s for your own safety.
BAKER
What do you mean, dangerous? What’s he doing?
JULES
Please… you need to leave now. Mr. Ashton will be most displeased if you finds you here.
JONES
I totally understand. Genius can be a very private vocation. We will let the master work.
JULES
Thank you… thank you for your understanding.
JONES
Just one last question… a quick one… how long ago did this investor come along that helped fund this breakthrough?
JULES
I remember the day well… it’s was June 28, 2090.
Why do you ask?
JONES
I’m a big fan of Mr. Ashton. I’m hoping to write a biography of his lfe one day. I’ve always trying to fill in as many details as possible. I would never publish without his permission and support though.
JULES
Perhaps I can arrange a meeting one day.
JONES
That would be amazing.
JULES
Here is my card.
BAKER
Is that the same office where the investor first appeared?
JULES
Actually, yes. That has been his family’s office ever since I started working for them.
BAKER
Excellent. We’ll be in touch.
(JULES exits)
BAKER (CONT.)
Nicely done, Jones. I didn’t think you had any hussle in you but you played that well.
JONES
Thanks.
BAKER
So now we know when and where the last key moment happened.
JONES
