How fun is that? A play about a Greek story being performed in the far away country where the story originated. Very cool!

I recently got an email from a school in Nevada who said really nice things about the play:
"We performed your play last night for our community. It is probably one of the funnest plays we have performed. The audience loved it, but the cast had so much fun performing it, too. We loved that the play had humor and a good message. Thank you for allowing us to use your play." - Cheryl Turner
My daughter and her movie club also did a movie version of the play a few years ago:

Could you love a child that isn't yours? (old play new poster)
I hadn't read this script in a long time but decided to re-read it when my wife was hired by a theatre to make a poster for them. I was pleased that it's still a good read. And it raises many interesting questions about children, abortion and religion. Read the play too and post your thoughts in the comments. I will be happy to discuss it with you.

Somebody Famous produced in Albania
I have to admit... I had to consult a map to see where that was (by Greece).
I was even invited to see the production. That would be a dream come true to go see my productions around the world. Maybe one day :)
Somebody Famous is a script for 7 actors (5 women, 2 men) that was written as a full length version of my popular script Nobody Famous which becomes the play within the play.
Here is the poster from the Albania production:

Free teen actor full length play about life
The Weird, Wild and Wonderful Days of School
A full length play about young adults who are dealing with the comedy, challenges and changes of life. This play has a flexible cast. Not all scenes need to be performed. And actors can play multiple parts because no characters repeat from scene to scene. The smallest cast you could have by doing all the scripts would be three males and four females. But there are many as 49 speaking roles possible.

Funny Skit for Three or More Actors (that will give you gas)
Fart Zen! A play about the spiritual side of passing gas. http://www.freedrama.net/fertzen.html
It has two main parts and the option for several more parts (the students). It is a good play if you have a couple strong actors and then a lot of actors who just need the experience being on stage.
And a great picture by my wife:

Help teaching acting
I am trying to draw up a three months plan for our drama classes which is 3 mnths short courses... Which are the important aspects of acting we should start with at the first month, the second month and the third months. Important aspect one can do to qualify to get a certificate
Answer: I would say improv for the first part of the class: http://www.freedrama.net/improv.htm
And then discuss acting. Here are some lessons: http://www.freedrama.net/acting.html
Then do short scenes: http://www.freedrama.net/short.html
And then work on monologues for the final: http://www.freedrama.net/small1.html Or do an improv show: http://www.freedrama.net/theme.html

Improving Voice Acting (Killing the Monotone)
Answer: First, when you go through a script, think of different emotions the character might be feeling.
In this monologue: http://freedrama.net/protecto.html At first he is excited, then in the middle he is sad or worried. Then he starts to get excited again, but then at the end he is confused and disappointed. You'd want to reflect that in your voice and acting. Show each of those emotions for each part.
Next, look at each sentence. Pick out a word or two in each sentence that you'd want to put the most emphasis on. In the line "I've always dreamed of being a hero." You might pick "dreamed" or "hero" or both to the be the words you say a little more clearly or forcefully.
I hope this helps!

Romantic comedy script for 2-4 actors Looks Get in the Way
It is a great story about finding someone who loves you for who you are, not how you look.
Short comedy about finding the perfect person. 2-3 m 1-2 w (4 total).
"LOOKS GET IN THE WAY" by D. M. Larson from Freedrama.net

This play appears in the book "3 Short Comedy Scripts" available on Amazon.com ISBN-13: 978-1546726845
(There is a nice restaurant with a bit of a romantic atmosphere. A woman in a little old lady mask (Sidney) is sitting at the down center table sitting across from an empty chair. A man, Tony, walks up to the table. He stops and gives a funny look at Sidney)
TONY
Uh... I think I have the wrong table?
(Sidney speaks in an old lady voice)
SIDNEY
Who you looking for, honey?
TONY
Sidney.
SIDNEY
That's me.
TONY
What?
SIDNEY
I'm Sidney.
TONY
Is this a joke?
SIDNEY
Are you Tony? You're late. I thought you'd be here at 5.
TONY
I've gotta go. Uh... I just wanted to tell you that Tony can't make it.
(Tony leaves. Sidney does her regular voice)
SIDNEY
See you later, loser.
(A waitress (or waiter) brings Sidney an appetizer. Sidney eats it through the mouth hole in the mask. Next Phil enters. He is a nerdy looking guy in glasses and has some old flowers in his hand. The waitress shows him to Sidney's table. Phil is so nervous he doesn't even look at Sidney and sits. He shields himself with his flowers.)
PHIL
Hey, there, Sidney. I'm early. I mean I'm Phil and I'm early. I am glad you're early too, well, sort of. I was hoping to beat you and get used to the room first. I get nervous in new places. And with new people. I get nervous a lot. I brought you flowers.
(Phil sticks the flowers in the middle of the table to it blocks Sidney from view and himself as well. Sidney tries to get a good look at Phil.)
PHIL (CONT.)
The flowers are a little wilted. They were pretty. I mean there is this wonderful flower shop but I didn't have time to go there today but I did a few days ago and I wanted those flowers. I don't get a date every day you know and I wanted this to be special, so I got the best flowers I know of but I want this to be great. You know what I mean.
(Sidney grabs and flowers and smells them. In her old lady voice she says:)
SIDNEY
They're lovely.
(Phil sees Sidney's old lady mask for the first time. He is suddenly speechless. He stares a moment. He takes off his glasses and cleans them. He puts them on and looks again. Sidney puts the flowers to the side of the table and looks at Phil happily. After a few moments of silence:)
PHIL
What's with the mask?
SIDNEY
Does it scare you?
PHIL
Not really... it's just... weird.
SIDNEY
Hmm... so you're not gonna run off on me?
PHIL
I have to admit. I'm a little curious. Why would you wear an old person mask to dinner? And do the weird voice?
SIDNEY
It's my way of weeding out the losers. I want to find a man who likes what I'm really like and doesn't let my looks get in the way.
